Italian Pizza

Tools 

  • Pizza Stone: It makes Italian pizza crust crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
  • Pizza peel: It used to slide the pizza onto the hot pizza  stone in the oven.

Ingredients

  1. One ball best pizza dough.
  2. 1/3 cup best homemade Pizza sauce
  3. 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or 2 to 3 ounces fresh mozzarella.
  4. 3 tablespoons best basil pesto or basil cashew pesto.
  5. Semolina flour or cornmeal, for dusting the pizza peel.

Instructions

  • Make the pizza dough. Follow the best pizza dough recipe to prepare dough.
  • Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat to 500 fahrenheit or preheat your pizza oven ( here's the pizza oven use).

  • Make the  5 mins pizza sauce.
  • Prepare the cheese: if you are using fresh mozzarella cheese, slice it into 1/4 inch thick pieces. if it's incredibly watery fresh mozzarella, let it sit on paper towel to remove moisture for about 15 minutes then dab the mozzarella with paper towel to remove additional moisture.
  • Bake the pizza: dust a pizza peel with cornmeal or semolina flour. Stretch the dough into a circle: instructions. Then gently place the dough onto pizza peel.
  • Spread pizza sauce. Add mozzarella cheese. Tap few pinches of Kosher salt.
  • Used pizza peel to carefully transfer the pizza onto preheated pizza stone. Bake about 5-7 minutes.
  • Dollop with the basil pesto. Slice and serve.
